چکیده
To clarify the organic matter (OM) enrichment of Lishui Sag, factors influencing variable abundance OM in Lingfeng Formation are studied using geochemical data. The source rocks have medium–high total carbon (TOC) values (0.53–3.56%). main type kerogen is II2-III. Compared to shallow marine subfacies rocks, TOC delta front higher. distribution biomarkers shows that redox environment rock sub-oxidizing and oxic environment, mainly supplied by terrigenous higher plants; a sub-reducing suboxic comes from algae. link between input demonstrates (TOM) has considerable influence on abundance. However, there no obvious relationship preservation abundance, which suggests not determining element enrichment. strong sediment flux decreases amount time exposed oxygen. As result, with large TOM huge number excellent rocks. This paper proposes “delta front-OM model” for

Distribution and type of organic matter in Cretaceous to Tertiary source rocks in Soroosh and Nowrooz fields, Persian Gulf
Detailed organic petrography analysis were conducted on drill core and cutting samples from the Nahr Umr (Middle Albian), Burgan (Lower Albian) and Ratawi (Hauterivian) formations on the Soroosh and Nowrooz fields, NW part of the Iranian sector of the Persian Gulf. The thermal maturity of the Middle Albian Nahr Umr Formation appears to have reached the top of the oil window. The underlying Burg...

متن کاملOrganic Carbon and Organic Matter Levels in Sediments of the Strait of Hormoz, the Persian Gulf
Total organic carbon has a major influence on both the chemical and biological processesthat take place in sediments. Algal bloom is one of the organic carbon levels in aquatic ecosystems. In 2009 algal bloom occurred in the Hormozgan province and prolonged for months, which finally setteled down in 2010. In this study the variations of total organic carbon (TOC), organic matter (TOM) and tot...
متن کامل30. Molecular Indicators of the Supply of Marine and Terrigenous Organic Matter to a Pleistocene Organic-matter-rich Layer in the Alboran Basin (western Mediterranean Sea)
The organic matter in sediment series across two organic-matter–rich layers from Ocean Drilling Program Hole 977A drilled in the Alboran Basin of the Western Mediterranean Sea has been characterized by organic geochemical methods. Organic carbon contents reached more than 2% in the organic-matter–rich layer and was ~1% in the background sediment under and overlying it. Molecular compositions of...
متن کاملRemoval of natural organic matter from aqueous solutions by electrocoagulation
Natural organic matter (NOM) affects some qualitative parameters of water such as color. In addition, it can deteriorate the performance of water treatment process including coagulation, adsorption, and membranes. NOM also reacts with chlorine in the chlorination process and may form disinfection by-products. The present study was carried out in laboratory-scale in a batch system using a cylind...
